Chairman and Managing Director

Mr. S V Veeramani is the Chairman and Managing Director of Fourrts (India) Laboratories Pvt Limited with All India marketing and exports to more than 50 countries. He holds Bachelors in Chemistry and Masters in Business Administration. Under his leadership, Fourrts has won several awards including QUALITY EXCELLENCE AWARDS – 10 times so for in 1986, 1987, 1996, 2002, 2003, 2006, 2008, 2013, 2016 & 2018 from IDMA, Mumbai.   Fourrts is also recipient of Marketing Excellence, Outstanding Exports & Industrial Safety Awards.

He has served as National President of the Indian Drug Manufacturers’ Association for a record 3 consecutive years from 2014-2016 and continues to work with IDMA for the development and welfare of the Indian Pharmaceutical Industry.  As National President of IDMA, he worked on several causes including development of the SME sector (Small and Medium sized Enterprises), formation of Nutraceutical Regulations, streamlining of Fixed Dose Combinations and stable drug pricing regime.  During his tenure, IDMA presented a White Paper on “JOURNEY TOWARDS PHARMA VISION 2020 & BEYOND” to the Government of India with special emphasis on the support required by the API Sector. He also formed a committee on INDUSTRY – INSTITUTE INTERACTION to step up collaboration between Industry and Academia.

Mr S V Veeramani currently serves as Chairman of Tamilnadu Pharmaceutical Sciences Welfare Trust (TNPSWT), which offers Scholarships to M.Pharm / Pharm-D students and also helps manage PKTI (Pharma Knowledge Training Institute) that helps transition recent B.Pharm graduates to Industry. He was also the President of Indian Pharmaceutical Congress 2016 held at Visakhapatnam and member of the Jury for UBM India Pharma Awards as well as AWACS Awards for Marketing.  He is a Member of Committee of Administration (COA) for the year 2021-22 of Pharmaceutical Export Promotion council of India (PHARMEXCIL), Government of India and also a Member of CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) National Committee on Pharmaceuticals 2020`-22.

He has participated in multiple CEO Roundtables on Pharmaceuticals.

Mr S V Veeramani has been duly recognized with various awards including (1) “INDUSTRY CRUSADER AWARD” during India Pharma Awards 2018 of UBM at CPHI INDIA in 2018 (2) “IPA FELLOWSHIP AWARD” for his distinguished and dedicated service to the Profession of Pharmacy during the 69^th IPC 2017, Chandigarh (3) “VOCATIONAL SERVICE LEADERSHIP AWARD” from Rotary International, USA in the year 2014 for promoting Rotary’s commitment to the highest ethical standards in Businesses and Profession (4) “CITATION FOR MERITORIOUS SERVICE” from Rotary International, USA in February 2020 for recognition of Outstanding Service to the Rotary Foundation and embodiment of the motto – Doing good in the World (5) “LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD” from Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai in the year 2012 in recognition of his exemplary contributions to the cause of Medical Education and Healthcare Services.

He firmly believes in contributing to Society and is actively involved in multiple SOCIAL SERVICE projects. He has been instrumental in setting up ROTARY FOURRTS MEDICAL CENTER, a joint community clinic of FOURRTS and ROTARY CLUB OF ADYAR that provides free physician consultation and medications to around 500 patients every month. He has also served as DISTRICT ADVISOR & MENTOR – COMMUNITY SERVICE HEALTH of Rotary International District 3232 in the year 2017-18 & 2020-21 and DISTRICT ROTARY FOUNDATION CHAIR of Rotary International District 3230 from 2010-13.  He is also an Arch Klumph Society Member with a contribution of more than US$250,000 to The Rotary Foundation.
